Dr. Michael Kudlas was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, where he first learned his life-long loves of music (accomplished oboist and flutist), baseball (played third base), hockey (Red Wings, of course), as well as basketball and judo (Black Belt). He also received his undergraduate and first masters degree from Wayne State University. After ten years in the Detroit Public School system as a teacher, high school basketball coach and co-writer of a physical education curriculum, he moved to Spartanburg, SC, where he received his initial training in chiropractic from Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic.
In addition to his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, he has a Bachelor of Science and thee masters degrees in Education, Applied Psychology, and Theology. He is currently a candidate for a doctorate in spiritual science from Peace Theological Seminary and College of Philosophy.
His post-doctoral education, expertise, and practice include certification in Neuro-Emotional-Technique (NET), Neuro-Organizational Technique (NOT), and Total Body Modification (TBM) as well as Applied Kinesiology (AK) techniques and protocols. In 2007, Dr. Kudlas was selected "Doctor of the Year" by NET Seminars in recognition of his clinical research for them.
His advanced professional training also includes certification in neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), hypnotherapy, and disability evaluation. He has served as a chiropractic consultant to the State of Michigan and the former Health and Human Services Department of the United States government. He is also a founding member and has served on the board of the Michigan Chiropractic Society (now the Michigan Association of Chiropractors).
Dr. Kudlas is a certified disability examiner, diplomate and peer review panel member for the American Academy of Pain Management, the nation's largest pain management organization; and chiropractic advisor to the American Holistic Health Association, the largest source of alternative health information in the world. He has also served as a peer reviewer in the development of the Council on Chiropractic Practice (CCP) guidelines for chiropractic practice. Recent publications include chapters on chiropractic for The Encyclopedia of Alternative Medicine (Charles Tuttle, publisher) and Complementary and alternative Medicine in Rehabilitation (Mosby, 2002). Dr. Kudlas has made 30 clinical research presentations at international conferences within the last nine years.
Because he is totally dedicated to natural healing and raising the health consciousness of humankind through spiritual strength, wisdom and loving action, Dr. Kudlas has presented a number of license renewal and public education seminars for both doctors and the general public and enjoys speaking regularly on holistic health and higher consciousness at Western Michigan University. As a holistic health innovator, he has also developed and shared a number of advanced healing technologies which include Bio-Energetic Massage, Body Consciousness Healing, Centaur Training (in his spare time he loves working energetically with horses and riders), and Meningeal Modulation.
